Motivate hard work today
- With future accomplishments
Gamers have a huge advantage with understanding this.
”How the h... What are you talking about?!” Might be the first thing that pops into your head by reading the headline. Let me tell you why.
When playing videogames, we are often forced to grind our way to success. In order to become more powerful in the games, we have to perform useless boring tasks. Many just call it ”grinding”. In order to level up we kill monsters, complete quests or win games. We do this because we know that we will be rewarded afterwards. Our character will become stronger.
Now let me ask you a question. Is life any different? I mean, really. Tell me that is not the way it always works. In order to achieve something, you will have to work for it.
If you are looking to become great at a sport, then you will have to practice for hours and hours, day after day, month after month. That is the way to go. If we want to master something, we have to invest time and effort.
There is a saying that I heard that pretty much means that after 10 000 hours, you will have mastered whatever you are doing. It is a bullshit statement, I know. It is not a simple truth. But generally speaking. If you were to spend 10 000 hours doing something, with the goal to master it. Then you would be pretty damn good at it in the end.
We can apply it to most things. If you are to study really hard, you would score really high on the tests. If you were to workout really hard and consistently – you would become a lot stronger.
We know what it takes. All that we really need is the motivation to put in the effort. Am I right?
What will help you with the motivation?
What do you need to be able to keep a diet, being strict with it. Not cheating too much?
Is there anything that keeps you from leaving the house every day to take a walk or hit the gym?
This is me putting my foot up your ars... This is me pushing you! Reminding you that all you really need is to find the motivation. If you got questions about how to do something. The Internet is a great place. If treated with respect of course, we all know that Internet is full of shit.
