The Last Guardian
Read the description of the game below in italic font. Does that give you a hint of where this game might be from?
"The player controls a young boy who befriends a giant half-bird-half-mammal creature, Trico, and the two work together to evade guards that are after them both. The player must manipulate Trico as they would a real animal, such as luring it with food, to use it to reach high platforms or other remote places, while evading enemies."
Let's watch some videos from E3 2015 and 2016.
Below is a trailer from E3 2015.
Below is a trailer from E3 2016.
The release date for this game is set to 25th of October 2016. As far as I understand it will only be released on PlayStation. What did you make of those trailers? Are you going to pre-order it? Are you going to anticipate the early reviews and maybe make a purchase if they are good?
It looks like one of those typical game where you jump around platforms, dodge enemies and solve some puzzles. Not a scary game in any sense. Just try to save the little boy and use his big pet to do it.
I can't imagine it is a game that will test the limits for the PlayStation 4 in any way. It does not look like anything special when it comes to the graphics in my opinion. And for all the reason I would try not to like it, I must say that it has potential. In the past I have played similar games on PlayStation 2 and 3. The story does not have to make sense, all games need a purpose to exist. It is as simple as that.
Fuck it, I don't care. I just like to jump around in a fantasy world. If I am a boy with a fairy, a girl with a dog or this boy with a huge fantasy creature as a friend - I don't care.
If it is not too expensive this might be a game that I play in the future.
